Ingredients
- Butter, unsalted: 1 cup
- Granulated sugar: 1 cup
- Instant apple cider mix: 1 packet (0.7 oz)
- Egg: 1 large
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour: 2¾ cups
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: ¼ teaspoon
- Turbinado sugar (for rolling): 3 tablespoons
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the apple-cider mix, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients just until the dough forms.
- Chill dough for 20 minutes if soft.
- Roll dough into small balls and coat in turbinado sugar.
- Flatten lightly and arrange on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
- Cool briefly on the pan, then transfer to a rack.
Notes
- Chill dough if cookies spread too much.
