Description
This apple cinnamon sheet cake is a moist, crowd-pleasing dessert loaded with real apple chunks, warm spices, and optional glaze. Easy to make and perfect for fall gatherings, potlucks, or a simple sweet treat.
Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp salt

2 large eggs

1½ cups granulated sugar

½ cup unsweetened applesauce

½ cup vegetable oil
-
1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups apples (peeled & diced, preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Optional glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar + 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

In another bowl, combine eggs, sugar, applesauce, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Fold in the diced apples.

Pour batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 10–15 minutes before slicing or glazing.
Notes
For extra spice, add ¼ tsp ground cloves.
Optional toppings include a cinnamon cream cheese frosting or chopped pecans.
It can be made gluten-free with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
