Instructions
- Bring water to a gentle simmer in a small saucepan.
- Add the apple slices and cinnamon stick to the simmering water.
- Let the mixture simmer until the apples soften and the cinnamon infuses.
- Turn off the heat and add the tea bag if using, then steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a mug and sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Add lemon for brightness and garnish with fresh apple slices or a cinnamon stick.
