  • Author: Ryan Mitchell
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Best French Dip Sliders are made with tender roast beef, melted provolone cheese, and soft slider rolls, served with a rich au jus for dipping. They are easy to prepare, incredibly juicy, and perfect for parties, game day, or a comforting family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet au jus seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the sliced onions and cook until soft and golden.
  3. Add the roast beef to the skillet and warm gently, then remove from heat.
  4. Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  5. Layer half of the provolone cheese on the rolls, followed by the warm roast beef and caramelized onions.
  6. Add the remaining cheese and place the top halves of the rolls over the sliders.
  7. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley, then brush evenly over the tops.
  8. Bake uncovered for 18 to 22 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.
  9. Meanwhile, heat beef broth with au jus seasoning and Worcestershire sauce until hot.
  10. Serve the sliders warm with au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

  1. Serve au jus on the side to prevent soggy sliders.
  2. Provolone can be substituted with Swiss or mozzarella if desired.
  3. These sliders are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently in the oven.
