Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8- or 9-inch cake pan with parchment and grease.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt, then alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to form a smooth vanilla batter.
- Mix black sesame paste, sugar, flour, and milk in a separate bowl to form a thick sesame batter.
- Spoon alternating portions of vanilla and sesame batter into the pan.
- Swirl gently with a knife in a figure-eight motion without overmixing.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 20 minutes before slicing.
