Description

There’s something magical about pulling a tray of warm, golden breakfast rolls out of the oven on a sleepy morning. These fluffy, buttery rolls are filled with eggs, sausage, and cheese, creating a perfect grab-and-go meal or cozy brunch option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced onions, bell peppers, or spinach

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage until browned, drain excess fat.
  2. Whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper, then scramble until just set.
  3. Roll out dough and seal seams if using crescent rolls.
  4. Spread eggs evenly over dough, add sausage and cheese.
  5. Roll tightly and slice into 8 pieces.
  6. Arrange in greased baking dish and brush tops with melted butter.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  1. If preparing ahead, refrigerate assembled rolls overnight before baking.
  2. For a lighter version, use turkey sausage and reduced-fat cheese.
  3. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
