- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced onions, bell peppers, or spinach
Instructions
- Cook sausage until browned, drain excess fat.
- Whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper, then scramble until just set.
- Roll out dough and seal seams if using crescent rolls.
- Spread eggs evenly over dough, add sausage and cheese.
- Roll tightly and slice into 8 pieces.
- Arrange in greased baking dish and brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- If preparing ahead, refrigerate assembled rolls overnight before baking.
- For a lighter version, use turkey sausage and reduced-fat cheese.
