Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan until golden and aromatic, then allow it to cool.
- Combine the cooled brown butter with both sugars until glossy.
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and toffee bits evenly.
- Chill dough for 20–30 minutes for thicker cookies.
- Scoop dough onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F until edges are golden.
- Cool cookies on baking sheet before serving.
Notes
- For extra gooey centers, slightly underbake the cookies.
- Chill dough longer for thicker cookies.
- Add flaky sea salt on top for balanced flavor.
