These Caramel Apple Pie Bombs combine everything you love about classic apple pie—warm cinnamon apples, gooey caramel, and buttery crust—in an easy, bite-sized dessert that’s quick to make and impossible to resist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent dough
- 8 soft caramel candies (or ¼ cup thick caramel sauce)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a small skillet and cook diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon for 5–7 minutes until softened.
- Add cornstarch if desired to thicken, then remove from heat to cool.
- Flatten each biscuit or dough piece and place a spoonful of apple mixture with a caramel candy in the center.
- Seal edges to form a ball and place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with melted butter and bake at 375°F for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Immediately roll in cinnamon sugar and serve warm.
Notes
- You can air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes for a quicker version.
- For a lighter option, reduce sugar and bake instead of frying.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
