Caramel Apple Punch

  • Author: Ethan Cole
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 10 servings 1x

Description

This Caramel Apple Punch blends rich caramel, crisp apple cider, and gentle spice into an easy party drink you can serve chilled or warm.

Ingredients

  • Apple cider: 6 cups
  • Caramel sauce or caramel syrup: 1/2 cup
  • Ginger ale or sparkling apple cider: 4 cups, chilled
  • Cinnamon sticks: 2
  • Fresh apple slices: 1 large apple, thinly sliced
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg: pinch, optional

Instructions

  1. Pour the apple cider into a large pitcher or glass mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk in the caramel sauce or caramel syrup until it is completely smooth and fully combined with the cider.
  3. Cover and chill the cider caramel base for at least 1 hour so the flavors can meld and the punch is well chilled.
  4. Just before serving, gently stir the base, then pour in the chilled ginger ale or sparkling apple cider and stir slowly to keep the bubbles.
  5. Add the cinnamon sticks and fresh apple slices to the pitcher and sprinkle in a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg if you like extra spice.
  6. Serve the Caramel Apple Punch in glasses over ice, and if desired, rim the glasses with caramel and cinnamon sugar for a dessert like finish.

Notes

  1. Chill the cider caramel base ahead of time for the best flavor and a refreshing temperature.
  2. Whisk the base again before adding ginger ale so the caramel does not settle on the bottom.
  3. Add the carbonated ginger ale or sparkling cider at the very last minute to keep the punch bubbly.
  4. For a warm version, skip the ginger ale and gently heat the cider caramel mixture with the spices until steaming but not boiling.
  5. Garnish each glass with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick to add aroma and a festive look.
