A creamy, velvety Cheese Dip For Pretzels that’s perfect for game days, parties, or cozy nights in. This easy, stovetop recipe uses sharp cheddar, milk, and simple pantry ingredients to create a rich, flavorful dip that clings perfectly to soft pretzel bites.


Ingredients

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Stir in the flour to create a roux and cook for 1–2 minutes.

  • Gradually whisk in the warm milk until the mixture thickens slightly.

  • Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese until fully melted.

  • Remove from heat and add the grated cheddar and Dijon mustard. Stir until smooth.

  • Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • If needed, use an immersion blender to achieve an ultra-smooth finish.

  • Serve warm with pretzel bites or transfer to a small crockpot to keep warm

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use cornstarch instead of flour.
