- 1½ pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chicken broth or dry white wine
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, then sear shrimp until lightly golden and opaque. Remove from skillet.
- Add remaining butter to the pan and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Deglaze with broth or wine, scraping browned bits from the skillet.
- Pour in cream, add Parmesan and seasonings, and simmer until thickened.
- Return shrimp to the sauce and warm through before serving.

- Add Parmesan gradually to prevent graininess.
- Avoid high heat once cream is added to maintain a smooth sauce.
