Description

Creamy garlic shrimp made in minutes with a rich, velvety sauce and tender shrimp simmered in garlic, butter, and Parmesan for an easy comfort meal.


Ingredients

  • pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, then sear shrimp until lightly golden and opaque. Remove from skillet.
  3. Add remaining butter to the pan and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Deglaze with broth or wine, scraping browned bits from the skillet.
  5. Pour in cream, add Parmesan and seasonings, and simmer until thickened.
  6. Return shrimp to the sauce and warm through before serving.

Notes

  1. Add Parmesan gradually to prevent graininess.
  2. Avoid high heat once cream is added to maintain a smooth sauce.
