Description

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup melted dark, milk, or white chocolate
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, sprinkles, crushed peppermint


Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs and sugar together until pale and slightly thickened.
  2. Add melted butter and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder, then fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Preheat pizzelle iron and drop about one tablespoon of batter onto the center.
  6. Cook each pizzelle for 30–45 seconds until golden around the edges.
  7. Transfer cooked pizzelles to a cooling rack and allow them to crisp.
  8. Melt chocolate and dip each cooled pizzelle halfway.
  9. Place dipped pizzelles on parchment paper and add optional toppings if desired.
  10. Let the chocolate set before serving or storing.
