Description

Easy Cinnamon Apples are a quick, 15-minute stovetop dessert made with fresh apples, cinnamon, maple syrup, and a touch of vanilla. This sweet and cozy dish captures the comforting flavors of homemade apple pie without the crust. Perfect as a snack, side dish, or dessert topping.

Ingredients

  • Apples (Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala, or Honeycrisp recommended)

  • Coconut oil or butter

  • Ground cinnamon

  • Salt

  • Vanilla extract

  • Maple syrup
Optional Add-ins: Nuts (walnuts, almonds), dried fruits (raisins, cranberries), pinch of nutmeg or allspice

Instructions

  • Wash, peel, core, and dice the apples.

  • In a sauté pan, add a splash of water and diced apples. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly soft.

  • In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.

  • Add the cinnamon mixture to the softened apples. Stir well to coat.

  • Cook uncovered for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and the mixture caramelizes.

  • Serve warm alone, or over pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, or ice cream.

Notes

Choose firm, sweet-tart apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for best texture.

Adjust the sweetness based on the type of apples used.

Add nuts or dried fruit for extra texture and flavor.

Best served warm but can be stored and reheated.
