  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking shrimp)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (for shrimp)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (for shrimp)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
  • Red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  2. Brush slices with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder.
  3. Toast until golden and crisp, then set aside to cool.
  4. Mash avocados with lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add shrimp, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook until pink and opaque.
  7. Spread avocado mixture onto each toasted crostini.
  8. Top with cooked shrimp and garnish with herbs and red pepper flakes.

Notes

  1. Assemble crostini just before serving for best texture.
  2. Add extra lime juice to keep avocado bright.
