Description

A classic slow-cooked chili made with hearty ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and a bold blend of spices. Perfect for busy weeknights, tailgates, or comforting winter meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes

  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 2 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions


Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

  • Add the cooked beef, diced onion, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beans, and spices into the slow cooker.

  • Stir well to combine.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.

  • Serve hot with desired toppings.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.

Add cayenne pepper or hot sauce for extra heat.

Substitute one can of beans with corn or diced bell pepper for variety.
