Description
A classic slow-cooked chili made with hearty ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and a bold blend of spices. Perfect for busy weeknights, tailgates, or comforting winter meals.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
Add the cooked beef, diced onion, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beans, and spices into the slow cooker.
Stir well to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
Serve hot with desired toppings.
Notes
Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
Add cayenne pepper or hot sauce for extra heat.
Substitute one can of beans with corn or diced bell pepper for variety.
