Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef (90% lean or higher)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) beans, drained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Add ground beef to the slow cooker (browned or raw) with onion and garlic.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes, beans, broth, and all seasonings.
  4. Stir gently to combine and cover with lid.
  5. Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. Add shredded cheese near the end and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes
