Jalapeño Burgers with Gorgonzola: A Fiery and Creamy Burger You Won’t Forget

  • Author: Manar Annan
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A bold, gourmet-style burger made with juicy beef patties, fresh jalapeños, and creamy Gorgonzola cheese. This spicy and tangy combination brings big flavor to a classic burger, perfect for cookouts, weeknight dinners, or anytime you crave something different.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs (680 g) ground beef (80/20 blend)

  • 23 fresh jalapeños, sliced (seeds removed for less heat)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

  • 4 brioche buns, toasted

  • Optional: caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli, or your preferred burger sauce

Optional Homemade Garlic Aioli:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Slice jalapeños and remove seeds if desired. Set aside.

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and half the sliced jalapeños. Mix gently until just combined.

  • Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties. Make a shallow dent in the center of each to prevent puffing.

  • Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Cook burgers 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach 160°F internally.

  • During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with crumbled Gorgonzola. Cover briefly to melt.

  • Toast buns lightly while the cheese melts.

  • Assemble burgers: bottom bun, garlic aioli (optional), lettuce or tomato (if using), the patty with melted cheese, grilled or raw jalapeño slices, and top bun.

  • Serve hot with your favorite side.

Notes

For less heat, grill or roast the jalapeños to bring out sweetness.

Gorgonzola dolce melts creamier than Gorgonzola piccante.

You can swap in turkey or plant-based meat for dietary needs.

Garlic aioli can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
