Ingredients
Main Components:
8 oz flank steak (or sirloin/ribeye), thinly sliced
8 oz linguine or egg noodles
2 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
4 garlic cloves, minced
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon heavy cream (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley or green onions (for garnish)
1 teaspoon lemon juice (for finishing)
Instructions
Cook the Noodles: Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak: Season steak with salt and pepper. In a hot skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side until medium-rare. Remove and let rest, then slice thinly against the grain.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until fragrant (1 minute).
Combine Sauce Ingredients: Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, cream (if using), and Parmesan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
Toss and Serve: Add noodles to the skillet and toss to coat. Add steak slices. Finish with lemon juice and garnish with green onions or parsley. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra umami, add 1 tsp miso paste or a splash of fish sauce.
Use cast iron for the best sear on steak.
Adjust red pepper flakes to control heat.
Great with rice noodles, udon, or even zoodles for a low-carb version.
Add sautéed veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.
