  • Author: mymamarecipes.com
  • Total Time: 33 minutes
  • Yield: 10 twists 1x

Description

Flaky, golden puff pastry filled with rich Nutella and twisted into sweet spirals. These Puff Pastry Nutella Twists are quick, delicious, and perfect for any occasion—brunch, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed

  • ½ cup Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chopped hazelnuts or almonds, coarse sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll each thawed puff pastry sheet into a 10×10-inch square on a lightly floured surface.

  • Warm Nutella slightly and spread it evenly over one puff pastry sheet, leaving a ½-inch border.

  • Place the second sheet over the first, pressing gently.

  • Slice into 1-inch strips using a pizza cutter.

  • Twist each strip several times and place it on the baking sheet.

  • Brush with egg wash.

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

  • Let cool for 5 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or other toppings if desired.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold until baking for best results.

Don’t overfill with Nutella to prevent leaking.

Use parchment paper for easy clean-up.

Twists can be frozen before baking and cooked straight from frozen.
