Description

Pumpkin spice milk is a cozy, caffeine-free drink made with pumpkin puree, spices, and milk. It’s perfect for autumn and a great way to enjoy fall flavors without the coffee.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Extra pumpkin spice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract in a saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture on medium, stirring occasionally, until it’s warm but not boiling.
  3. Taste the milk and adjust sweetness or spice levels if necessary.
  4. For a frothy texture, use an immersion blender or whisk the mixture.
  5. Pour the pumpkin spice milk into a mug and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of extra pumpkin spice if desired.

Notes

  1. This drink can be served hot or iced.
  2. If you don’t have pumpkin puree, roasted butternut squash puree works as a great substitute.
  3. You can use any plant-based milk for a dairy-free option.
