Description

Ingredients

  • 3 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Remove seeds and chop jalapeños finely.
  2. Combine chopped jalapeños with shredded pepper jack cheese.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and chill for 20 minutes.
  4. Prepare three bowls for flour, eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Roll each ball in flour, dip in eggs, and coat in breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil to 350°F and fry bites in small batches until golden.
  7. Place fried bites on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
