  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Red Crab Juicy Seafood recipe recreates the famous seafood boil experience at home with bold Cajun garlic butter sauce, tender crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes—all steamed together in a flavorful boil bag or pot for maximum taste and mess-free fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Dungeness or snow crab

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp (deveined, tail-on)

  • 1 pound mussels or clams (scrubbed)

  • 4 halves corn on the cob

  • 6 medium red potatoes (halved)

  • 12 oz andouille sausage (sliced)

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 8 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper

  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)

  • Lemon wedges and parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Boil potatoes for 10 minutes in a large pot.

  • Add corn and sliced sausage; boil for 5 more minutes.

  • Add crab and shrimp; cook for 3–5 minutes until done.

  • In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add all spices, lemon juice, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.

  • Transfer cooked seafood and vegetables to a boil bag or large bowl. Pour sauce over and toss.

  • (Optional) Steam the boil bag in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes.

  • Serve on a parchment-lined table with lemon and parsley.

Notes

Do not overcook the seafood; it cooks quickly.

Let the mixture rest in the sauce for 5–10 minutes before serving for deeper flavor.

You can customize with crawfish, lobster, scallops, or extra veggies.
