Ingredients
For the Chicken Filling:
1 cup shredded cooked chicken
½ cup cream cheese
½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to spice preference)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro or parsley
1 tablespoon chopped jalapeños (optional)
For the Buns & Coating:
6 small burger buns or dinner rolls
1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten (for coating)
1½ cups breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
Oil for frying (if deep-frying)
Instructions
Prepare the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, mayonnaise, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and herbs.
Mix well until the filling is smooth and well combined.
Stuff the Buns:
Cut a small opening on one side of each bun and gently hollow out the inside without tearing the bun apart.
Stuff each bun with a generous amount of the cheesy chicken filling. Seal the opening with a bit of beaten egg.
Coating:
Roll each stuffed bun in all-purpose flour, then dip into beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Ensure even coating for a crispy finish.
Cooking Methods:
Frying: Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat and fry the buns until golden brown and crispy (about 3-4 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
Baking: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake on a lined baking sheet for 15-18 minutes until golden and crisp.
Air Frying: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serve Hot:
Enjoy your Cheesy Dynamite Chicken Buns with a side of garlic mayo, ranch, or extra sriracha for an extra kick!
Notes
Adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing sriracha and jalapeños.
You can use store-bought rotisserie chicken for convenience.
Add a little bit of grated Parmesan for extra cheesy flavor.
Best served immediately while crispy and hot.
