Seafood Boil Seasoning is a bold and aromatic spice blend that transforms a traditional seafood boil into a flavorful coastal feast. Infused with garlic, lemon, and a mix of Cajun and Old Bay spices, this seasoning brings out the best in shrimp, crab, sausage, and vegetables. Ingredients
Seafood & Vegetables:
4 lbs jumbo shrimp (shell-on, deveined)
5 lbs red potatoes, halved
3 (16 oz) packages andouille sausage, sliced
5 lbs crab legs
8 ears corn on the cob, cut into thirds
Seasoning & Broth Ingredients:
16 cups water
12 oz beer (optional)
1 onion, sliced
2 lemons, quartered
6 garlic cloves, smashed
3 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp ground cayenne pepper (adjust to heat preference)
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp dried thyme
2 bay leaves
1 tbsp mustard seeds (optional)
1 tbsp salt (or to taste)
Garlic Butter Sauce:
½ cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 garlic cloves, minced
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Prepare the Broth:
In a large stockpot, add water, beer (if using), onions, lemons, garlic, and all the dry seasoning. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes to infuse the flavors.Add Potatoes & Sausage:
Add red potatoes and andouille sausage. Simmer for 10 minutes until the potatoes are nearly tender.Add Corn, Crab, and Shrimp:
Add corn and crab legs, and cook for 5 minutes. Add shrimp last and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.Prepare Garlic Butter:
In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Simmer for 5–7 minutes and set aside.Serve:
Drain the pot and arrange seafood, sausage, and vegetables on a platter or a lined table. Drizzle with garlic butter and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
You can customize your seasoning blend to be spicier or milder.
Substitute clams, mussels, or other shellfish based on availability.
Turkey sausage or vegetarian alternatives work well for dietary needs.
