Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 pounds chicken drumsticks (skin-on)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

  • Optional add-ins: sriracha, Dijon mustard, fresh herbs for garnish


Instructions

  • Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.

  • Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub onto drumsticks.

  • In a bowl, stir together barbecue sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire, and honey.

  • Place drumsticks in a single layer in the slow cooker. Pour sauce over top and toss to coat.

  • Cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 2.5–3 hours.

  • Optional: Transfer drumsticks to a baking sheet and broil 2–3 minutes for crispy skin.

Notes

For even cooking, arrange drumsticks in a single layer.

Keep the lid closed during cooking to retain heat.

Use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.

Internal temperature should reach 165°F.
