Ingredients
For the Dough:
1 cup warm milk (105°–115°F)
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 large eggs, at room temperature
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
3/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup strawberry jam
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1/3 cup lemon curd (optional)
For the Additional Cheesecake Layer:
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup strawberry pie filling
For the Sweet Glaze:
2 ½ cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: 1–2 tablespoons strawberry jam for added flavor
Topping:
Fresh strawberries (sliced, for garnish)
Instructions
Activate the yeast: Warm the milk to 105–115°F. Stir in yeast and a bit of sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Make the dough: Mix the milk/yeast mixture with sugar, butter, salt, and eggs. Add flour gradually. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise 1.5–2 hours until doubled.
Prepare cream cheese filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, strawberry jam, lemon zest, and lemon curd (if using). Mix well.
Prepare cheesecake filling: Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Fold in strawberry pie filling.
Assemble rolls: Roll out dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle. Spread fillings evenly. Top with fresh strawberries. Roll tightly into a log and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Cut & rise: Slice into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish. Let rise for 30 minutes.
Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake rolls 35–38 minutes until golden.
Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla (plus jam if desired). Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
Can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the fridge before baking.
