  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional)
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds
  • Jasmine rice (optional for serving)


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken until golden with crisp edges.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  5. Simmer until the glaze thickens and coats the chicken evenly.
  6. Serve hot over jasmine rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  1. Add a splash of water to loosen the glaze if it becomes too thick.
  2. Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing crushed red pepper flakes.
