This Crockpot French Dip sandwich features tender, slow-cooked beef roast served on soft hoagie rolls with a savory au jus. Ingredients
3–4 lb beef roast (top round or chuck)
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup au jus (or beef broth with additional seasonings)
4–6 hoagie rolls
Swiss cheese (optional)
1 can of French Onion soup
1 can of Beef Consommé
Instructions
Place sliced onion at the bottom of the Crockpot.
Put the beef roast on top of the onions.
Sprinkle minced garlic around the roast.
Pour in beef and au jus (or beef broth with seasonings).
Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
After cooking, shred the beef using two forks.
Serve the shredded beef on hoagie rolls.
Optional: Add Swiss cheese and serve au jus on the side for dipping.
