Description
A creamy, flavorful shrimp dip that combines succulent shrimp with a rich cream cheese base, perfect for parties and gatherings. This restaurant-quality appetizer comes together in just 15 minutes and can be made ahead for stress-free entertaining.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and half the Old Bay. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Let cool, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in sour cream and mayonnaise until well combined.
- Stir in lemon juice, remaining Old Bay, minced garlic, and chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper.
- Gently fold in chopped shrimp. Taste and adjust seasonings.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with additional chives if desired.

Can be made up to 24 hours in advance – flavors improve with time
Store in refrigerator for 3-4 days in airtight container
Do not freeze – dairy base will separate
For a lighter version, substitute half the cream cheese with Greek yogurt
