Ingredients
Brownie Base:
18 oz brownie mix
3 tbsp espresso powder
2 large eggs
1 extra egg yolk
½ cup melted butter
1 cup dark chocolate chips
½ cup water or strong brewed coffee

8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
¾ cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 egg yolks
Coffee Soak and Topping:
7 oz ladyfingers (savoiardi)
1 cup strong coffee or 2 double-shot espressos
Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
Optional: dark chocolate shavings or fresh berries
Instructions
Prepare Brownie Layer:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix brownie batter by combining brownie mix, espresso powder, eggs, melted butter, and coffee. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into greased or parchment-lined baking dish and bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.Make Mascarpone Cream:
Beat mascarpone, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and egg yolks, then gradually mix in heavy cream. Beat until fluffy. Chill 20–30 minutes.Coffee Soak & Ladyfingers:
Dip ladyfingers briefly in coffee—5 to 10 seconds max. Do not oversoak.Layer Dessert:
Spread mascarpone cream over the cooled brownie base. Top with soaked ladyfingers arranged in a single layer. Dust with cocoa powder.Chill & Serve:
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight). Slice and serve chilled. Dust again with cocoa or garnish as desired.
Notes
Use high-quality espresso powder or fresh espresso for the richest flavor.
Substitute instant coffee if espresso is unavailable.
