Description

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites are soft on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, and packed with warm cinnamon flavor. Made with refrigerated cinnamon rolls dipped in a rich custard, they’re an easy, comforting breakfast or brunch recipe ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated cinnamon rolls (2 cans, icing reserved)
  • Large eggs (4)
  • Whole milk (3/4 cup)
  • Unsalted butter (3 tablespoons)
  • Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Ground cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Maple syrup for serving (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh berries for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut each cinnamon roll into four equal bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  4. Dip each cinnamon roll piece briefly into the egg mixture, coating lightly.
  5. Place coated pieces into the skillet in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning gently, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm with icing, maple syrup, or powdered sugar.

Notes

  1. Do not soak the cinnamon roll pieces too long to prevent sogginess.
  2. Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in an air fryer or oven for best texture.
