Description
Honey Garlic Chicken is the perfect meal prep recipe—simple, flavorful, and ideal for busy weekdays. Juicy chicken breasts are marinated in a sweet-savory blend of honey, soy sauce, garlic, and olive oil, then pan-seared to golden perfection. Serve with your favorite sides for a satisfying, make-ahead lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
To create the marinade, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
Place chicken breasts in the marinade, turning to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard the leftover marinade) and cook for 6–7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown.
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice and portion into meal prep containers.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken up to 4 hours.
Pairs well with brown rice, quinoa, roasted vegetables, or steamed greens.
To freeze: cool cooked chicken completely, then store in freezer-safe containers for up to 2 months.
Reheat until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
