Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices sourdough or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Mix the softened butter with minced garlic, dried parsley, and garlic powder until evenly combined.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place one slice of bread butter-side down in the pan.
- Layer mozzarella cheese over the bread, followed by chopped shrimp, cheddar cheese, and a light sprinkle of Parmesan.
- Top with a second slice of bread, butter-side up, and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip gently and cook the other side until the bread is crisp and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet, rest briefly, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Let cooked shrimp cool completely and pat dry before using to prevent sogginess.
- Cook over medium heat to allow the cheese to melt before the bread browns too quickly.
- This sandwich is best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently in a skillet.
