Description

A cozy shrimp and garlic bread grilled cheese made with buttery toasted bread, melty cheeses, and tender shrimp. This comforting skillet sandwich is easy to make and perfect for a satisfying homemade meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices sourdough or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the softened butter with minced garlic, dried parsley, and garlic powder until evenly combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place one slice of bread butter-side down in the pan.
  4. Layer mozzarella cheese over the bread, followed by chopped shrimp, cheddar cheese, and a light sprinkle of Parmesan.
  5. Top with a second slice of bread, butter-side up, and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
  6. Flip gently and cook the other side until the bread is crisp and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet, rest briefly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  1. Let cooked shrimp cool completely and pat dry before using to prevent sogginess.
  2. Cook over medium heat to allow the cheese to melt before the bread browns too quickly.
  3. This sandwich is best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently in a skillet.
