- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, then whisk in the chocolate and espresso powder until smooth.
- Whisk in the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla, oil, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gently mix in the flour just until combined, then spread the batter evenly in the pan.
- Bake until the surface looks set and a tester comes out with moist crumbs, then cool completely.
- Stir together the hot water, espresso powder, and sugar and let cool.
- Quickly dip the ladyfingers in the coffee mixture and arrange them over the cooled brownies.
- Beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth, then slowly add the cream and whip to stiff peaks.
- Spread the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Dust with cocoa powder, slice, and serve.
Notes
- Mascarpone can be replaced with full-fat block cream cheese if needed, though the flavor will be slightly tangier.
